Addresses
Search and reverse geocoding use the NYC Department of City Planning GeoSearch service (NYC Planning Labs), built on the city’s Property Address Directory. Intersection search and nearest cross-streets use the official NYC Street Centerline (inkn-q76z). Optional NYC Geoclient v2 can be enabled with a city API key.
Officeholders
Names and contact details are synced into data/representatives/officials.json from council.nyc.gov, borough president sites, Open States (NY Assembly and Senate), and the unitedstates/congress-legislators dataset. They are not hardcoded in the interface. Flossy is nonpartisan and does not endorse officeholders.
